Prints configurations details of OpenMS (Version, Git hash, SIMD extensions, Multithreading), along with directories where auxilliary data like modifications (UniMOD), Enzymes etc are taken from.
Some of these paths can be changed; if nothing is set, the system defaults are used.
-
Data path: the OpenMS share directory (modifications, enzymes etc.), found via the compiled-in path or the location of the executable; the output says which one was used. The environment variable 'OPENMS_DATA_PATH' is only a fallback and should point to an OpenMS share directory, e.g. 'c:/program files/OpenMS3.1/share/OpenMS'.
-
Temp path: where OpenMS stores temporary data. Set it with the environment variable 'OPENMS_TMPDIR' or the 'temp_dir' entry of the optional OpenMS.ini file (see the User FAQ).
-
Userdata path: where OpenMS stores user-related data. Set it with the environment variable 'OPENMS_HOME_PATH' or the 'home_dir' entry of OpenMS.ini.
This tool does not need/use any command line parameters.
